Play Angry Birds in Linux

Rovio media have no plans to actually bring Angry Birds to Linux, with their previous statement it being something they were ‘looking into’ since translated as ‘no plans at all.’

Still, if you’re an Angry Birds fan looking to get your feathery fix on Linux you still can – using everyone’s favourite binary beverage ‘Wine‘.

Firstly, get the game from Intel App Up,you’ll need access to windoze. Also the game costs $4.99 (completely worth of it)

Then get Wine via their PPA.

Install Angry Birds and go to Applications > Wine > Angry Birds sub menu

Game On !

Change Wikipedia’s font by Ubuki Chrome extension #FAIL !

Chrome Webstire is on a roll.So many new apps, extensions being launched every then and now,and so many useless.Like some are just redirecting to a web page while some as discussed below just change a font and that too on a single website.#fail.This extension ‘Ubuki’

Why is it a fail ?

  • A person ‘A’,sitting on his windoze and never used ubuntu, when see’s this extension in the ‘store, might think that it’s difficult to change the default font in ubuntu.so chances of his using an open source OS reduces further more.Or he might think ubuntu users need an extension just to change a font !
  • Secondly, the extension just useless.Want to change font ? Go to Options » Advanced » Font settings  and change the font.
  • A whole extension just to change the font on one website ? #whatanonsense

Acer’s 4.8 incher ‘phoneblet’

Well Acer‘s brought the phonebelt, that is mixture of phone and a tablet. It’s being powered by 1GHz Snapdragon processor.Acer confirmed that this hybrid which is 100% phone + 100% tablet would come to US in April and would be running  Froyo or Honeycomb. The display is pretty huge (4.8 inch) and boats of its unique 1024 x 480-resolution, 21:9 aspect ratio display ,but then don’t complain cause it’s a Phonebelt ! (We’ve got another thing for 2011,that other manufacturers would be busy copying  throughout the year  *sigh* )

Let’s wish Acer luck, and please wish me too so that I can  have my own Android that I desperately WANT.

Razer sent me l33t stuff !
